My Best Friend

My best friend Mischa and I first met at puppy classes when we were each eight weeks old. Perhaps because of my size even then, Mischa was the only puppy interested in playing with me. We have remained best friends ever since.

Misch is a drop dead gorgeous all black Labradoodle, one of those new brands of designer dog which I believe were created to go with different ladies outfits rather like designer handbags and shoes. Great I suppose if the lady in question is wearing red or grey, but something of a sartorial disaster if she’s wearing navy blue or brown that particular day!

Despite the fact that she’s a member of the opposite sex, it’s not like that with me and Misch. We’re mates and that’s as far as it goes. While marriage has been discussed between our respective Mum’s and Dad’s, as far as she and I are concerned, we’re perfectly happy with the current arrangement. We’re a modern couple if you like. We’re perfectly happy to meet up for the occasional romp in the park, but equally happy to return to our respective homes and sponge off our parents the rest of the time!

So there you have it. My best friend, Mischa. Next to my Mum and Dad, the best friend a young dog ever had!

I am a large, friendly, affectionate and, even though I say so myself, fabulously handsome 3 year old German Shepherd Dog whose mother, Lexi, is one of the few German Shepherds in the UK to have qualified to become a Therapy Dog (PAT dog).
