Playing Jess the Cat

As many of you will already know, we have our very own Postman Pat. His name is Norman.

If there is mail that doesn’t need to be signed for, Postman Norman leaves it in the mailbox at the end of our drive. Delivery time is one of my favourite times of day because I get to pretend I’m Jess the Cat and that I’m helping Postman Pat by delivering the mail in the village of Greendale.

Our mailbox is too high for me to reach so Dad gives me the mail to carry up to the house. I love this game. While Dad runs behind me just to make sure I don’t drop anything, we run up to the house and I hand Mum the mail and she hands me a dog biscuit. It’s great fun. I get to help out and get an extra treat at the end of it.

Sounds like a win, win situation to me!

I am a large, friendly, affectionate and, even though I say so myself, fabulously handsome 3 year old German Shepherd Dog whose mother, Lexi, is one of the few German Shepherds in the UK to have qualified to become a Therapy Dog (PAT dog).
